Our new Anti-Spin rubbers A-B-S and ANTI SPECIAL are decisively slower than GORILLA and GRIZZLY.
A-B-S offers a very good control and
produces an astounding spin reversal. Most of all the ball can be returned very short over the net. At the same time the rubber enables to attack through pushing and
lifting especially on chopped balls.
ANTI SPECIAL is a bit more versatile than A-B-S. It is also very effective for blocking however it provides more dynamic attacking possibilities.
Both A-B-S and ANTI SPECIAL come with a new rubber mixture for the topsheet and a new type of sponge. Thus the
rubbers come close to our old frictionless long pimples. A-B-S is ITTF-homologated since end of
2008 and is available with the following sponge thickness:
The 1.8mm version is the slowest and hence the most effective for short blocking close to the table. The version
with 1.5mm sponge is slightly faster and thus a bit more effective for attacking. The 1.2mm version enables both good blocking and most of all
attacking.
GORILLA is faster and produces very disruptive while blocking close to the table since the ball bounces very low on the other side of the table.
We should also like to emphasise the new version with 1.8mm sponge since it is much slower and offers a much better
control than the versions with 0.6, 1.0 and 1.3mm thanks to a special type of sponge.
GRIZZLY is still the rubber that is best suited to put pressure on your opponent.
However both rubbers are not as easy to handle as
A-B-S and
ANTI SPECIAL therefore they require a lot of practice.
This is why we have launched a new version with the
A-B-S sponge (1.2, 1.5 and 1.8mm)
hereby providing a very good dampening effect. The spin reversal and the attacking possibilities remain unchanged however the control is being decisively enhanced.
